The Montessori Elementary school is divided into lower elementary and upper elementary. Each class is vertically grouped. In the lower elementary we have children within the ages of 6-9 and in the upper elementary we have children within the ages of 9-12.
Children will have the opportunity to experience abstract concepts by manipulating concrete material; this encourages critical thinking as well as memorization of concepts through repetition.
We have planned a challenging and integrated program that changes each year depending on the needs of the children. Whilst it looks different from what you would get from a British or Nigerian curriculum it encompasses all of them and provides the child with the relevant education he/she needs for the next stage in their life.
