Mrs. Joy Okereafor obtained her teaching qualifications from Delta State Teaching Institute and is a certified Montessori trained Teacher of the  N.A.M.C Canada. She is pleased to have been teaching in Casa Dei Bambini for over sixteen years. She loves and enjoys working with children and is passionate about the well being of the children.

Mrs Imade Osezua holds a first degree in History and Strategic Studies and a masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos. With over seven years experience in communications and external affairs, she serves as the administrator of the school. She is a strong believer in doing your best wherever you find yourself and is passionate about positively impacting people's lives in any little way.

Passionate about children, Mrs. Emafo has over 20 years teaching experience. Her educational background includes a B.A in English and Literature from the University of Benin, a diploma in Montessori education for ages 0 to 6 from the London Montessori centre school in London, a diploma in Montessori education ages 2 to 6 from the North American Montessori center and a diploma in elementary courses for ages 6-12 in the United Kingdom.  

 

Prior to establishing Casa dei bambini and Lekki Montessori school Mrs. Emafo commenced her teaching career with Norwegian International school in Port Harcourt, Ikoyi Nursery school, St Saviours school Ikoyi and Willow Tree Montessori School in the United Kingdom. She also owns and runs Teeny tots crèche in Shell Marina in the BOI building for SNEPCO.  

 

She is trained with ASAP a South African organisation involved in assessing children with Autism spectrum disorder, carrying out assessments using the DM4, drawing up IEP’s and executing the IEP’s with children on the spectrum and with learning disorder.

 

As part of her contribution to the development of Montessori education in Nigeria, she is a trustee and founding member of AMEN (ASSOCIATION OF MONTESSORI EDUCATORS IN NIGERIA) which is a nonprofit making association aimed at working as a regulatory body for Montessori schools in Nigeria. She is also a trustee of FMEN (Foundation for Montessori Education in Nigeria) a Non-governmental foundation that seeks to promote integration, enlightenment and development using the Montessori framework for the benefit of society and the child.
